This Jim Morrison and The Doors concert poster is unique because of the use of a boxing style layout. This was a departure from the typical Doors psychedelic poster style. The rock concert poster is for the Boston Arena performance in Boston, Massachusetts on April 10, 1970. This would be the last time The Doors would ever grace a stage in Boston again. Jim Morrison would be dead 15 months later. This poster is printed in a simple black and white format using cut out pictures of the band as its central image much like the boxing style layout used to promote the old blues and R&Bacts of the 1950's and 1960's. The Boston Arena concert was actually taped and recored professionally by Elektra records and was released decades later on CD. I will pay $3,000 cash for this Doors boston Arena concert poster or any other original 1967-70 Doors concert poster. Please call 310-346-1965

TThis poster is unique because it advertises a series of concerts that took place in the Singer Bowl at Flushing Meadows, New York during August, 1968. The concert promoters were Gary Kurfirst and Shelly Finkel. Finkel was a successful boxer promoter who managed boxing legends Evander Holyfield and Mike Tyson. The Singer Bowl concert series started on August 2, 1968, with Jim Morrison and the Doors teaming up with The Who and Kangaroo. It was a hot muggy night and the audience was restless. After The Who and Kangaroo's performances, The Doors took the stage and put on a tense concert. Morrison sang surrounded with 20 or more heavy set bouncers. The Doors concluded their set with “The End” a song from their debut album and were escorted off the stage as bedlam broke out in the crowd. Please call 310-346-1965
